The purpose: To provide guidance to students in making the best college and career choices according to their needs, skills, abilities and interests
To help students achieve their goals the college counselor facilitates:
•Information on college requirements and programs available through the college library and class presentations.
•Campus visits by representatives from colleges, universities, training and technical schools
•Student awareness about scholarship information
•Financial Aid Night for parents
•Administration of standardized testing such as PSAT, ACT, SAT Reasoning Tests & SAT Subject Test
•Making presentations to introduce students to standardized testing and preparation
•Hosting a College Information Night for parents and students
•Making AP information available and oversees AP Testing
