  • THE ARTS

    Creativity, Expression, and Confidence

At Notre Dame High School, the arts are an essential part of educating the whole person. Through visual and performing arts, students develop creativity, confidence, discipline, and collaboration, skills that enrich academic learning and prepare young women for leadership, college success, and lifelong self-expression.

    Visual Arts

Notre Dame’s visual arts program offers students the opportunity to explore a wide range of artistic media while developing technical skills, creative thinking, and personal expression.

    Visual Arts offerings include:

    • Interdisciplinary Arts

    • Visual Arts I–IV, including drawing, painting, and ceramics

    • AP Drawing

Students showcase their work through class exhibitions and school events, building confidence and preparing those interested in college-level art study or creative careers.

    Performing Arts

Performing arts at Notre Dame help students develop self-confidence, teamwork, and communication skills through collaborative and performance-based experiences.

    Performing Arts opportunities include:

    • Choir

    • Drama

    • Dance

Through rehearsals and performances, students gain discipline, stage presence, and the confidence to express themselves creatively.

    Culinary Arts (Dual Enrollment)

Notre Dame offers Dual Enrollment Culinary Arts, allowing students to explore creativity through food preparation while earning college credit. This hands-on course blends artistic expression, practical skill development, and real-world application in a supportive learning environment.

    Arts & College Preparation

Participation in the arts supports college readiness by strengthening creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication, skills valued across all fields of study. Students pursuing advanced study may develop portfolios, performance experience, and academic preparation that supports college admissions and scholarships.
